Without community service, we would not have a strong quality of life. It’s important to the person who serves as well as the recipient. It’s the way in which we ourselves grow and develop.

At The GEMS Camp, we want girls to enter college with highest priority given to their studies, but also with the mindset of impacting their campuses and communities through volunteerism. Today, more than ever companies are highlighting social responsibility – requiring more executives and managers to be socially conscience. Our GEMS will enter the workforce ready to give of their talents, expertise, and time back into the communities in which they live and work.

  • Plan, coordinate and execute a green service project in the local community.
  • Serve six hours of community service in the summer.
  • Individually research and select a local service organization to volunteer with throughout the school year.
  • Set a camp fundraising goal (minimum of $500) to donate to a local charity and will execute a fundraiser to achieve that goal.
